How to Maintain Your Pool Between Cleanings – Part Two

After you have followed steps one through three of skimming your pool, brushing it, and running your vacuum, here are some extra steps you can take to ensure your pool is as fresh as possible between pool cleaning.

Step 4: Clean out your Skimmer

You should also clean out your skimmer at least once per week. Removing debris allows the skimmer to operate at maximum efficiency, catching the majority of debris that ends up in your pool.

Step 5: Keep your Pump Running and Check Filters

Make sure you run your pump long enough each day to make sure the water is properly filtered. The system helps chemicals work effectively to ensure the water is properly filtered. Make sure to check your filters and maintain them to the manufacturer’s directions.
